 Events!

On Sunday April 12th, 2009 the Calvary Messianic Congregation hosted the Pesach (Passover) at Eternal Life Church.  The Spirit of our Yaweh (God) was truly present.  We were so very blessed and we thank our speaker brother John Mercer, who did an excellent enlightment of the true meaning of Passover.
We thank  Dr Rabbi Avraham and Dr Irmeli Libiertus for being with us and showing such love, joy and peace, and also explaining things to us.
We thank Gary, Gloria, Heather for the beautiful praise and worship and dancing. A very special thank you to my sister, Rev. Dianne Adams who has been the major planner and organizer of not only the Passover but for other events as well.  Her faithfulness to God  and Eternal Life Church has been a great inspiration to me!  Another special thanks to Barry, Sharon, Pat, Vicki for their servanthood and also a special thank you for Joel Patrick who has created this website and maintains it.
We thank you Almighty God (Yaweh), Elohim, the "I Am" for Yeshua (Jesus) our Savior and our soon coming King!

THE FEAST OF THE PASSOVER

It’s sad to say, but most Christians today know very little about Passover. We don’t know what it is or how to celebrate it. If you are not familiar with Passover, here’s a one-sentence summary of what Passover is all about:

“Passover is the celebration of God’s love and power in delivering His people out

of the hand of their enemy.”

Passover is not to be just a religious ritual or a holiday. It is a time set by God for specific SPIRITUAL TRANSACTIONS to take place. It’s a time…

  • To praise God for His work of deliverance in the past.
  • To seek Him for a fresh release of deliverance today.
  • To gain faith for His work in the future.

For the Jews, Passover was a celebration of God’s power in setting them free from slavery in Egypt . They had been in bondage, under bitter oppression. They cried out to God and He delivered them through PASSOVER.

Christians also have a deliverance to celebrate! We have also been in bondage, under the oppression of a cruel enemy…SATAN. Passover is a vivid picture of how God delivered US.

Passover is important to Christians for several reasons:

  1. It’s important for us because we are spiritually united with Israel. Romans 11:17 says that when we came to Jesus, we were grafted into Israel , and share in all the blessings God gave them. Ephesians 2 says that at one time we were “excluded from citizenship in Israel ,” but now we are “fellow citizens” with them. We join with the Jews in celebrating Passover because we are spiritually united with them.
  2. Passover is important because it is part of God’s plan of salvation for you. Apart from Passover the Jews would have died as slaves in Egypt . Jesus could not have been born and, as a result, there would be no salvation for us. We would have ended up in hell!
  3. Passover is important because God designed Passover as a celebration of Jesus.  I Cor. 5:7 says, “Jesus i
  4. s our Passover Lamb.” God could have had Jesus die at any time of the year but He chose to have Him die at Passover. God chose Passover because Passover was GIVEN to teach us about Jesus. Through Passover, we come to understand what His death accomplished.

Passover is all about Jesus!

  • He came as the Lamb of God.
  • His blood redeems us.
  • By His death, judgment was turned away and the power of the enemy was broken.
  • We were released from bondage and oppression.
  • We were set free to enter into God’s promise.

At Passover, God wants you to experience the reality of His deliverance. It’s a time to thank God for His deliverance in the past. It’s also a time to enter into His deliverance for you now in every area of life. PASSOVER IS A CELEBRATION OF DELIVERANCE!
